About Handbell Ensemble

Playing your instrument in church is a wonderful way to share your musical gifts with the Lord and your church community. Adding instruments help to beautify the music at our liturgies.  Without our musically talented parishioners who give of their time & talent to share their musical gifts, it would be very difficult to enhance the music for masses.  With 5 masses every weekend at St. Paul the Apostle, it takes a very large number of musicians to have a good musical ensemble at each & every mass.  That being said, we encourage every musically talented parishioner to share their talents & join one or more of our ensembles and make a joyful noise!

Our hand-bell ensemble rings primarily at Holiday Masses such as Christmas, Easter & other special liturgies.  Ringers do not need prior experience to ring, we will teach you, however the ability to read music and understand rhythm is necessary.

Currently, our handbell ensemble is a group of ringers who range ages from teens to adults.  This coming Fall, we hope to re-introduce a separate youth handbell ensemble. Each ensemble requires at least 10 ringers.

If you read music and love to hear the hand bells, this is your call to join the ringers.

We rehearse once a week from 6:00- 7:00 PM *about 8-10 weekly rehearsals prior to each holiday in which for we are scheduled to ring bells.

Please contact Ruth Peck: rpeck@saintpaultheapostle.church for more information or to join this ensemble.
