About Funeral Choir - The New Life Singers
Singing in church is a heightened form of prayer, a beautiful expression of our hearts that goes beyond spoken words. We strive to have excellent music for our liturgies at St. Paul’s knowing that music that beautified can help our congregation experience the Lord in our midst. Without our musically talented parishioners who give of their time & talent to share their musical gifts, it would be very difficult to enhance the music for masses. With 5 masses every weekend at St. Paul the Apostle, it takes a very large number of musicians to have a good musical ensemble at each & every mass. That being said, we encourage every musically talented parishioner to share their talents & join one or more of our ensembles and make a joyful noise!
Our funeral choir sings at funeral masses and memorial services at St. Paul’s upon the request of the family of the loved one who has passed. This is a ministry of comfort & healing for grieving families through song.

Our funerals typically take place at 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM Monday through Saturday. Singers are not required to sing at every funeral. They only sing at the funerals for which their daytime schedule allows. Many of the funeral choir members are also members of our regular adult choir.
Practices take place as needed about 1 hour prior to the start of each funeral.
Our funeral choir also gathers socially for an entertaining Christmas Luncheon each year at a local restaurant. Please contact Ruth Peck: rpeck@saintpaultheapostle.church for more information or to join this ensemble.
